Role: The Company’s merchandise mix and assortments are constantly evolving as merchants and planners focus on what customers want to buy and respond by providing best of the products on a wider variety of name brand merchandise. Incumbent is expected to drive & maximize Sales & Profitability in the business by providing effective Merchandise Strategies. Planning & In Season management of Assortment & Inventory by Stores/Region/Product Hierarchy to achieve or exceed Strategic Business Targets viz. Top-line, Sell-Thru, Gross Margin, etc. He/she must have a keen eye to detail and decisions driven by customer needs
Key Responsibilities:
- To support in devising a buy plan after reviewing the product performance
- To assign base stock as per the Product Hierarchy & Store Location and manage the same to ensure each category is adequately represented at each store at all times
- Gross Margin/P&L Management
- Product pricing strategy to manage budgeted multiples
- Optimizing Logistics cost
- Discount budget management
- Sell Through/Promotions Management
- Generate and analyse inventory and sales reports to deduce relevant trends
- Configure & communicate promotional activities to store team and in support to it, ensure adequate inventory
- Best seller and slow mover reporting, planning stock rotation and restricting Opportunity Loss
- Relationship management with all partners – Brand partners, SIS partners, E-com partners and third party
- Provide feedback on inventory health at various stores, circulate periodic reports like sell through, top sellers, slow movers, size set availability etc.
- Build incentive plans for store teams – depending on prices, product and push strategy.

Education & Experience Required:
- PG in Retail Management/Fashion Management from a reputed business or fashion institute
- 2-5 years of experience in similar role for retail Planning & Merchandise allocation
- Preferred Industries – Organized Fashion Retailers/Ecommerce companies
